SCRIPTURE VERSE
"Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest."
— John 4:35 (NASB)

PRAISES
We are thankful for all the teams that have served with Orphan Outreach this year. We have successfully completed 18 mission trips this year to Guatemala, Honduras, Russia and India. We are thankful for each person who has chosen to join us in ministering to those in need. Please continue to pray for our four remaining mission trips this summer as well as the upcoming fall trips to Russia, Guatemala, Honduras and India.

Students and staff from Heritage Christian Academy in Rockwall, TX delivered more than 100 backpacks to students in remote mud-hut villages in the Northern Region of Ghana, West Africa.  Backpacks were distributed to students in Tarikpaa Village, which is comprised of students from five small villages in the area and has more than 300 students in attendance each day; and the Wayamba village school, which is in a very poor village. The children were excited to receive new backpacks. In addition to backpacks, the HCA Ghana Mission Team also distributed much needed school supplies and shared the love of Christ with children throughout the villages in Ghana.

PRAYER REQUEST
Guatemala
Pray for a team of mothers and daughters who have been ministering in Guatemala this week. Pray for these women as they return home today, pray that their time has been fruitful and that seeds were planted in the lives of the children they served. Pray also for the young girls who ministered beside their mothers this week. Pray the Lord will continue to grow in them a passion and desire to serve the least of these.

Please also pray for a team of 14 women from all over the United States who will be traveling to Guatemala, August 2 - 8. This team will be serving more than 300 children in 2 orphanages, and 3 schools. Pray for unity among our team and that God would be glorified in all that they do and say. Pray also for the families that they leave behind, that God would watch over them while the team is in Guatemala.

Honduras
Continue to pray for the political situation in Honduras. Pray that it will soon be resolved and mission teams can return to Honduras to serve the children and families in need. Pray for our ministry partners in Honduras, that they will be able to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those they so faithfully serve.

India
In our previous prayer email, we requested pray for Dr. Lalita Edwards. Dr. Edwards cares for nearly 25 children who have been affected by AIDS at the Santvana Children’s Home. She was recently released from the hospital and is doing very well. We are very thankful for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for the children and staff at Santvana. Pray that the Lord will provide additional staff to help care for the children.

Russia
Pray for abandoned and neglected children in Russia as they enter the orphan care system. Pray they will receive love and comfort as they face this very difficult transition in their life. Please continue to pray for Hannah's Hands, a ministry in memory of Samuel Lars Larson, and the staff who provide love and care to orphans temporarily placed at Crisis Center #15 in St. Petersburg. Pray the Lord will provide the funds to increase the Hannah's Hands' staff so children at the Crisis Center will receive the quality care and attention they need during this difficult and lonely time in their lives.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trips
Please continue to pray for our interns in Russia and India. This is their last week of ministry and will be returning home today. Please pray they have a fruitful week and for safe travels home.

Pray for our international staff and ministry programs. Pray that the Lord will provide the resources needed to continue serving families and children in need.

Pray for all the mission backpack drives that are taking place throughout the United States. The Lord is very faithful in all His provisions, please pray He will provide backpacks and school supplies to all the children we serve.
Please Pray for
Maria Cristina
in Santiago, Guatemala.

Maria Cristina Tzoc Chicoj, age 10, attends the Good Shepherd Baptist School in Santiago, Guatemala and is in the 3rd grade. She likes to play with dolls, cars and ride a bike and aspires to be a teacher. Maria has four brothers and her dad sells wood for a living while her mom stays at home.

We praise God for allowing Maria to be able to receive a quality Christian education and learn about God’s Word and His love for her at school. We ask that you join us in praying for Maria and the other children at Good Shepherd, that they would be prepared and equipped with the skills to serve the Lord in all that they do as they develop.

The school currently teaches children from preschool to the fourth grade. They hope to expand the school to fifth and sixth grade once they have the physical capacity to do so. Please pray for God to provide funding for the renovations to build a fifth floor above the school so that more students can receive an education.
