SCRIPTURE VERSE
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.  For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."  — Psalm 100:4-5
PRAISES
We have much to be thankful for this week. God has provided in so many ways ~ Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord for the successful third-annual Taste of Seguin fundraiser in June.  We are so thankful for Kelle Sullivan and Kelly Follis who dedicated so much time to make this event successful in order to help orphans all over the world.

This past spring, our prayer email featured Oldin, a single mom with four boys (7-year old triplets and an older brother!). Oldin lost her home and most of her possessions in a fire. She and her children have been sharing a small bed and living in a small house behind her church. Recently, the WAYfm team from Grand Rapids, MI blessed Oldin and three other single mothers with “Extreme Home makeovers”. Pictured at right with Oldin and her family is the WAYfm construction team leader Mike Hansberry. The WAYfm team also supplied the family with new beds, a dresser, a kitchen table and chairs and other household items. Most importantly, the team prayed with the family. Please continue to pray for the boys who are struggling in school; they currently attend the Proverbs 22 school on scholarship provided by Orphan Outreach.

Praise the Lord for the Honduras Intern's safe arrival back in the United States. Seven interns had to leave the country due to civil unrest in the area.  Praise the Lord for his hand of protection over them.

Despite challenges on the recent WaYfm trip to Honduras, we are so thankful that they were able to complete the playground for AFE, renovate some homes, and provide medical help for hundreds of people. Praise the Lord for all of the work that was completed during this trip. Click here to view photos and read more about all the WaYfm trip to Honduras.

Praise the Lord that our two interns, who served in Guatemala in June, have returned home safely and that they had an amazing time of service.

Praise the Lord for the women’s team from Christ Church Plano, TX, who just finished a week of ministering in the Manchin home for girls in Antigua, Guatemala.  The team spent a week sharing Christ’s love through crafts, testimonies, Bible lessons and recreation with a theme of “You are Beautiful in God’s Eyes.”  The team was especially thankful to be there for the Quinceanera (15th birthday) celebration of 21 girls from the home.  The girls had dresses but no shoes.  Christ Church provided the shoes and a beautiful cake for them.  Eighteen new girls came in to the home while the team was there.  Please pray for all of the girls and leadership of the home.  Click here to read more about this team and their trip to Guatemala.

PRAYER REQUEST
Guatemala
Please pray for the team from High Pointe Church in Washington state, as they serve in Panabaj and Santiago, Guatemala this week.  The team will be providing a medical clinic, offering a Vacation Bible School for the children, and helping to build two homes in a poor village.  Please pray for good health and safety for the team and that their work would be fruitful and glorifying to God. Click here to read more about High Pointe's trip to Panabaj.

Honduras
Please pray for the political situation in Honduras; pray that the issues will be resolved quickly and that the upcoming Orphan Outreach trips to Honduras will occur.  Please also pray that the ministries we support in Honduras will not face any problems due to the political situation. Please pray for wisdom as we seek to know what God would have us do with future summer teams to Honduras.

Please pray for Steve and Becky Jordon (pictured above), who served on the June WaYfm radio listener team in Honduras. On Monday, June 22, Steve fell through a roof he was repairing at an orphanage near Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He suffered a fractured pelvis and was evacuated back to Michigan for surgery.  Please pray for his continued recovery following the surgery and pray specifically for the Lord to provide for the mounting medical expenses the family has accrued as a result of the accident. India
The school year in India has begun. Please pray that all of the children we minister to would enjoy the school year, be well prepared for the future, and hear and learn about God's love for them.

Pray that God would provide experienced and loving caretakers for Santvana HIV home in Pune.

Please pray for Samson Parekh as he begins to put together plans and strategies to minister to the children in each of our projects in India.  Pray also for Orphan Outreach India director Uma; pray for God's provision for his family.

Orphan Outreach Staff
This week, four interns departed for India and five departed for Russia. They will be there through the end of July. Please pray for their safety, health, and effectiveness during their month of service. Pray that God will be glorified in all that they say and do.

Please pray for the remaining short-term trips scheduled for this summer.  Pray that each participant would be safe and that God would use each team to accomplish His will.

Please continue to pray for resources for all of our programs around the world.

 Orphan's Around the World
Pray for the Christian Alliance for Orphans' campaign “Orphans Deserve Better”. The Alliance is launching the "Orphans Deserve Better" campaign to counter Warner Bros’ upcoming horror film, Orphan. One key role of the Alliance is to enable the Church to speak with a strong, unified voice to “defend the cause of the fatherless.”  This campaign seeks to do just that. You can learn more at www.orphansdeservebetter.org.
Please Pray for
Dilmaya in India.

Dilmaya is a Nepali girl from the Red Light Area (RLA) of India. Her father died of AIDS and her mother left her with another Nepali brothel madam, who took her to Santvana Home in Pune.

When she came to Santvana, the staff did not know her age but estimated 9 years. They also gave her March 14th as her date of birth.

Dilmaya only knew how to converse in Nepali, but since she has been at the home she has learned Hindi and Marathi. She is a quick learner and has already learned all the English alphabets and numbers up to 100, which is amazing. Dilmaya gets along very well with the staff and children. Although she is very quiet, she can also turn into a little rascal when she wants to.  Once again the Lord has His hand on this precious girl.

We praise God for Dilmaya’s life and for bringing her to Santvana, where she is receiving residential care, a quality education, and love and attention that she otherwise would not have received in the RLA.

Pray for Dilmaya and the other children at Santvana, many of whom come from situations where AIDS and HIV have affected the family. Pray for Santvana as they renovate and expand their ministry in order to serve more children. Click here to read more about Santvana Home.
