Orphan Outreach Staff and Members of the Local Church
Disciple Orphans in the Leningrad Region of Russia
"We love when the pastor from the church prays with us at the end of the lesson," said the assistant director of the orphanage in Luga, Russia.

This caregiver and others like her, are joining the children in the orphanages at Luga and Nikolsky for Orphan Outreach's weekly small group Bible studies led by Orphan Outreach
staff and members of the local church.

The children are so excited about the weekly visits and the caregivers are a welcome addition to the classes. Prayer is a vital part of the weekly Bible study and caregivers at the orphanages ask that we "please encourage others to pray for the children we serve."

"We have such a wonderful time with the children," said Orphan Outreach Director of Missions in Russia, Olga Vlasenko. "We do lessons for the youth and the small kids come and spend time with us too. They are so interested in learning more about the Bible. When we start the lessons the small children ask if they can take part in the Bible study. They say 'We are not small, we understand everything and we want to be with you too.' They are so thirsty to know God. They look at us with big hope, that something very special can happen in their lives. We know it is all God. It is so moving when they ask us to pray for them and their parents, especially because they never see their parents and many don’t know where they are."

Christian discipleship is just one of the ways Orphan Outreach ministers to the children in Russia.
