About This Trip

This is an 11 Day / 10 Night mission trip to Kenya.
This team will visit Candlelight, Patmos and Madeleine Schools.

Join Orphan Outreach in serving children in Kenya who come from unspeakable conditions and are the victims of gross poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This team will serve at all three schools that Orphan Outreach partners with, ministering to the students and teachers and visiting the families who have found hope for the future through Christ-centered education. The team will worship and teach, distribute humanitarian aid, and help feed the children and teachers. The trip also includes visits to Nairobi national park, an elephant orphanage and giraffe center.

About Kenya

Kenya has a culture born of countless sources. This region has been crossed by the paths of a long and complex history. From the prehistoric records of early man to the present day, Kenya has been a land of unending change, contrasts and diversity.

Kenya lies astride the equator on the eastern coast of Africa. It is a medium-sized country by continental standards, covering an area of about 586,600km sq. Inland water bodies cover some 10,700km sq, the bulk of this in Lakes Victoria and Turkana.

Kenya has tremendous topographical diversity, including glaciated mountains with snow-capped peaks, the Rift Valley with its scarps and volcanoes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes and coral reefs and islets.

Orphan Outreach Mission Trip Baggage Policy

All mission trip participants are responsible for the cost of their checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. The cost of checked baggage depends on where you are traveling and your status with the airline. For the most up to date baggage allowances and fees, please check with each airline you are traveling on.

Occasionally we may ask trip participants to carry humanitarian aid and items needed for ministry in country. To save the cost of having to pay for the second bag on the return flight home, you can stuff a bag inside your other bag. Please ask before leaving behind a bag in your country of service.
