Join Orphan Outreach and 121 Community Church in serving children and families at the AFE School in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This will be the 5th year to host a Mother's Day luncheon for the moms of AFE students and other women who work in the dump across the street. For many, it will be the first time to sit at a table and be served a nice meal. This trip is open to any individuals who have a passion to love on kids and women of the dump community and help them know that they are loved by the Lord and His people.

About Honduras
Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Latin America and nearly two thirds of the nation's population lives below the poverty line. UNICEF estimates there are over 170,000 orphans in Honduras. Orphan Outreach ministers in Honduras by partnering with local orphanages, churches, and Christian schools for children in extreme poverty situations. Our primary project is partnering with the AFE (Love, Faith and Hope) school that serves the 300 children working at the dump in Tegucigalpa.

Land cost of $1000 is all-inclusive: all meals, lodging, in-country transportation, insurance, interpreters, bottled water, sightseeing, etc.

|
Please note that starting in 2013, all mission trip participants will need to cover the cost of their second checked baggage. When traveling internationally, most airlines allow passengers to carry two checked bags at 50 pounds maximum. Typically, your 1st checked bag is free and your 2nd bag costs approximately $40- $75, one way, depending on where you are traveling.
To save the cost of having to pay for the 2nd bag on the return flight home you can stuff a bag inside your other bag, or in some cases leave behind in your country of service. Otherwise, you will have to pay for your 2nd bag. Utilizing your 1st checked bag for personal use and your 2nd bag for humanitarian aid and supplies will ensure an empty bag that can be left behind or stowed inside your 1st bag for the return flight.
You can purchase an expandable, rollable duffle bag at Walmart for $15.
