About This TripThis is an 6 Day / 5 Night mission trip to Guatemala.
This team will visit Guatemala City and Xela.
Join Orphan Outreach and members of WOW (Women for Orphans Worldwide) in serving children in Guatemala with members of your family. You will visit orphans and vulnerable children and bring them much needed supplies and share God's love with them. The team will do "hands on" help at the Little House of Refuge orphanage in Xela. Guatemala is only a three hour direct flight from DFW but it offers a diverse culture and is filled with children struggling in the face of extreme poverty. You will be changed forever by a visit to the country. Orphan Outreach recommends children 12 and older for this trip and will consider children 10 and older on a case by case basis. To learn more about Women for Orphan's Worldwide, visit our website at http://www.womenfororphansworldwide.org
UNICEF estimates that are over 370,000 orphans in Guatemala. Many of these children come from families facing extreme poverty; 70 percent of people in Guatemala live below the poverty level. Orphan Outreach ministers in Guatemala by partnering with local orphanages, churches, and Christian schools for children in extreme poverty situations. We also make it a priority to come alongside the Guatemalan nationals and work with them as they serve their own people.
Tiffany Taylor Wines, Director of Marketing
Tiffany has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Christian University and a Graduate Marketing Certificate from Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. She was a partner of a marketing firm for 12 years. In 1996 and 1998, she and her husband traveled to Russia for the adoption of their infant children. That journey caused her to dedicate herself to making a difference for many of the world''s orphan children that have no chance of a loving family. Since 1999, Tiffany has directed marketing for orphan ministries and led several mission trips each year. Tiffany and her daughter, Inna, are founding members of the auxiliary to Orphan Outreach called Women for Orphans Worldwide (WOW).
The team will stay in beautiful, safe hotels close to the ministry sites. We will have double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms.
