You can serve orphans and at-risk children in Guatemala by joining this Mother/Daughter trip with children ages 10-18. Trip members will visit 1-2 orphanages and 2-3 Christian schools. The team will be staying at a very safe and beautiful hotel located in Guatemala City. The all-inclusive land cost is $900 per person and is based on 2 family members staying in one room (contact us for special prices for additional children under 12 staying in the same room). Airfare can be booked separately and you can use air miles.

About Guatemala
UNICEF estimates that are over 370,000 orphans in Guatemala. Many of these children come from families facing extreme poverty; 70 percent of people in Guatemala live below the poverty level. Orphan Outreach ministers in Guatemala by partnering with local orphanages, churches, and Christian schools for children in extreme poverty situations. We also make it a priority to come alongside the Guatemalan nationals and work with them as they serve their own people.

Team Leader
Amy Norton, Director of Programs, will lead the team in Guatemala. She has a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University and has 14 years experience in domestic and international adoptions. She worked for two years as a Guardian ad Litem for children and a court appointed special advocate for abused children. She has managed international orphan ministry programs for more than 12 years. She and her husband are adoptive parents having adopted a child from Russia.

Accommodations
The team will stay in a hotel close to the ministry site. We will have double-occupancy rooms with bathrooms.

Total trip cost includes land cost of $900 plus approximately $700 for international airfare between the USA and Guatemala.
Land cost of $900 is all-inclusive: all meals, lodging, in-country transportation, insurance, interpreters, bottled water, sightseeing, etc.
