Orphan Outreach has had a long relationship with Crisis Center #15 in St. Petersburg, Russia. This Center acts as triage for the children of St. Petersburg who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Many of the children who are brought here are infants and toddlers. Many are newborns who have been abandoned on the street or found in dumpsters. More (and more) children have been infected with the AIDs virus. The Center is supported by the city and has very little funding for staff. The children remain there for thirty days before they are sent to an orphanage. We are funding four Christian ladies who nurture and care for these children. Our ladies act as additional staff for the Center. Without our ladies, there would be only one caregiver for the infant and toddler area. Our ladies work in shifts to try and be with the children as much as possible.
