The Proverbs 22:6 School started with the dream of a young girl who lived in the worst slum of Tegucigalpa. Reyna, the founder of the school, had a dream as a young girl to start a school for the community where she grew up.  She worked her way through school and became a teacher, saving her money so she could start the private Christian school. Her ultimate goal is to train up the children to be ambassadors for Christ in the mission field.

Proverbs 22:6 has approximately 75 students and serves the local community and children from the Nueva Suyapa slum.  Orphan Outreach works in collaboration with Proverbs 22:6 to provide operational funds so that orphans can attend the school from the slums of Tegucigalpa.  Our prayer is that we will be able to assist Reyna in expanding the school and enhancing the curriculum that is provided for the students.
WaYfm Team Ministers in Honduras [June 2008]

Thirty WaYfm listeners and staff ministered to the children at Proverbs 22:6 School by providing a carnival and puppet show. The carnival included face painting, side walk chalk, tug-o-war, jump rope and additional games. The team also distributed carnival prizes, Bibles and lambs to each of the children.

The team also ministered to children at El Verbo Christian School and Amor, Fe, Y Esperanza (Love, Faith, and Hope)
