Orphan Facts
•
143 million of the world’s children are orphaned or at risk.
•
700,000 to 1 million children in Russia are orphaned or homeless.
•
11 to 13 million children are orphaned in Sub-Sahara Africa due to AIDS.
•
In 1990, AIDS accounted for just 16.4% of parental deaths leading to orphaning.  By 2010, that number will rise to 68.4%.
•
Worldwide nearly 80% of children have never heard the Gospel or have had the opportunity to respond to its message.
The mission of Orphan Outreach is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by ministering to orphans around the world by meeting spiritual, physical, emotional and educational needs.
