Stephen W. Spencer, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Spencer is President of The Windsor Corporation, a commercial real estate investment and management company.  Since 1982, he has been engaged in the acquisition, operation and management of several commercial real estate projects. Mr. Spencer also provides consulting and management services to major U.S. financial institutions and to select third party investors. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Texas and practiced law from 1980 to 1982 specializing in the areas of tax and estate planning. Mr. Spencer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors in Accounting and Finance (1977) and a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree (1980). Mr. Spencer resides in Dallas, Texas and is married and has two sons.


Wilson Williams, Vice-Chairman of the Board
Wilson Williams is the CEO and President of Williams Financial Group, a Broker/Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor in Dallas, Texas. Williams Financial Group provides support services to financial professionals all across the United States.  Mr. Williams began his career in the financial services industry with E.F. Hutton as a Dallas area manager.  In 1988, he ventured out to begin his own business and now runs one of the most respected financial services companies in the industry.  Mr. Williams currently sits on several boards of financial services firms including Fidelity Investment's advisory council and has served on several National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) committees.  Mr. Williams graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics.  He has been involved with orphan ministry for 7 years and is personally committed to providing financial and personal support to needy children all over the world. 


Blair Pogue, Director
Mr. Pogue is the investment director of Pogue Investments, a family office that was started in 2005 located in Dallas, Texas.  His primary responsibility is wealth appreciation for the benefit of his family. Mr. Pogue is also the managing director of The Pogue Foundation, a $30 million dollar family foundation started in 2002 and is located in Dallas, Texas.  The foundation’s primary recipients are UT Southwestern Medical School and Children’s Medical of Dallas. The Pogue Foundation is near the end of a 5-year $5 million commitment to UTSW and Children’s. Recently, the Foundation made a 5-year $10 million dollar commitment to both organizations that will begin in 2008. Mr. Pogue was previously employed by Lincoln Property Company and Phoenix Property Company, both of which are family owned companies. Mr. Pogue holds a B.B.A from Southern Methodist University.


Dr. Robert B. Sloan, Jr., Director
Dr. Sloan began his tenure as Houston Baptist University's president on September 1, 2006, serving as the University's third President since its founding in 1960. Dr. Sloan most recently served as Chancellor of Baylor University, following his service as Baylor's president from 1995-2005. Prior to his service as chancellor and president of Baylor University, he served as founding dean of George W. Truett Theological Seminary from 1993-1995. Sloan joined the Department of Religion faculty at Baylor University in 1983. He also served on the faculty of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and adjunctively at Hardin-Simmons University.

He has served as pastor and interim pastor at more than 20 churches throughout Texas and Oklahoma during his career. Dr. Sloan has authored two books, edited several others, and has published extensively during his career.

Dr. Sloan graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in 1970. He earned the Master of Divinity degree magna cum laude from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1973. He conducted post baccalaureate research at the University of Bristol, England, from 1973-74 and earned the Doktor der Theologie insignia cum laude from the University of Basel, Switzerland, in 1978.

Dr. Sloan, a native Texan, was born in Coleman, Texas, and raised in Abilene. He is married to the former Sue Collier of Cisco, Texas. The Sloan’s have seven children.


Esther Rogers, Director
Esther is the Chief Operating Officer of Rogers Inc.--a complex family organization that includes husband, Russell, and 5 children (Rachel, Rebecca, Reid, Russ and Robby).  Esther graduated from Baylor with a degree in Accounting in 1986 and is a Certified Public Accountant. Esther and Rusty’s commitment to supporting orphans began with the adoption of their children Rachel, Rebecca and Reid. Together they own a business which consists of 11 Subway restaurants in Northwest Arkansas. They are currently also involved in the youth ministry at FBC Springdale and teach 3rd grade Sunday School.
 

Jean Halleen, Director
Jean’s first main accomplishment was becoming a "Child of the King" in her early years and being brought up in a wonderful Christian home. She attended North Park Junior College and then had a successful 10 years as a secretary to a Bank District Manager and Supervisor.
  
In 1965 she married Otis Halleen, an attorney, and was married for 38 years. She enjoyed the success and joys of  raising 3 sons in a family that loved Jesus. Today, her sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren are "fun" individuals that  bring much happiness to her life. Before and after marriage she was a Sunday School teacher, Girls Awana and Pioneer Club leader, and has been involved in Women's ministry in her church for many years.
 
In 2004, Jean heard about orphan ministry on her local Christian radio station, WMBI, and answered God’s call for her to go on a short term mission trip to Romania. Since then she has traveled each year to share God’s love to orphans in Russia and Romania.  
 

Greg Yoder, Director
Greg Yoder is the Director of Mission Network News, a mission news service dedicated to keeping Christians informed on evangelical mission activity around the world; in doing so we hope to educate and motivate Christians to prayer, participation, and support of missionary work to help further the Great Commission.
 
Greg has traveled extensively to Russia, including trips with his wife to adopt their daughter, Anastasia.


Michael Douris, Director
Mr. Douris has over 33 years of experience managing children services domestically and internationally.  His experience includes work at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Lufkin Independent School District, Dallas County Juvenile Probation Department, and Buckner Orphan Care International.  Mr. Douris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.  
Mr. Douris served 11 years as Vice President of Buckner Orphan Care International where he led Buckner’s efforts to develop international programs.  Prior to that, Mr. Douris served 10 years in management at Buckner Children and Family Services.

Additionally, Mr. Douris served as the chairman of the Dallas County Mental Health Children’s Committee.  He has developed childcare programs including therapeutic foster care, assessment centers, residential treatment, family preservation, community based services, as well as international programs including adoption, foster care, transitional living, orphanages, and residential homes for infants.  Mr. Douris developed an annual Russian National Children’s Conference in partnership with the Russian Chamber of Commerce.  He has provided consultation on children’s issues to government officials in Russia, Latvia, Peru, Guatemala, and Kenya, and others.  He was also the founder and chairman of the Board of Dallas Behavioral Healthcare, a non-profit children’s behavioral healthcare network of major children service providers.

Currently, Mike serves on the board of the newly created Christian Alliance for Orphans, a coalition of adoption agencies and orphan care organizations that work with children throughout the world.
